They say when you start a business, you just have to make it 5 years.
COVID was draining for everyone. When I turned the corner on 2023 and our 5th year, I realized that the beauty of our studio was in the practice we shared with the community who had outlasted the pandemic.
I wanted desperately to grow the studio, but I knew that we had exactly the kind of classes, teachers and students that we needed as Common Bond. I let 2023 run its course to see how the energy we were putting out into the universe would come back. I had a little hope left in the bank, but I knew to spend it wisely and I thought that maybe, just maybe, my 5th year in business would bring the kind of luck that "they" told us was possible, COVID times notwithstanding.
There was Yoga Beer Church, there were memes and there were a steady stream of studio classes with our reliable teaching crew. And personally, I went on a Honeymoon, pushed my limits on the ice rink, doubled down on Springfield and the incredible Springfield Block Party and spent time with my growing family.
